Well hello, its a long time since I started a blog so bear with me 😛
I’m Dave, a keen hiker and photographer and currently live in Devon, United Kingdom. With Dartmoor and the Jurassic Coast on my doorstep I am very luck and spoiled for places t hike, subjects to photograph and space to get out and relax. I am currently in the process of moving to Scotland. I will be based near Glasgow and close to Loch Lomond and not too far away from Glen Coe or the Cairngorms.
I started hiking again after a long break around three or four years ago. The goal was to find places that interested me, take my camera along and escape the hustle of everyday modern life. This soon turned into an ever evolving mission to lighten my gear, try new gear and travel further, lighter.
I have been fortunate to have been asked to test items of gear, food and photography equipment. However unless stated otherwise, all the gear I currently use or write about on this blog has been bought and paid for with my own money.
